We're finally going to China

Our son John was born Qian Youhan. He contracted Japanese encephalitis and was abandoned at a police station by his birth parents. He was taken to a hospital, where we believe he was cured. He then was taken to the Shanghai Children's Welfare Institute, where he has lived since. Teri-Jo and I were matched with John (English for Youhan) in September 2009 and finally will meet our son on Monday, May 10 (Sunday in the United States).

That's quite a Mother's Day present for John's mom, Teri-Jo, his grandmothers, Nancy and Sheila, and his great-grandmother, Hazel.
